Convert WAVE to AVI online. See the real audio-only container delivery behavior, preservation limits, and a format-specific acceptance test.
WAVE audio is what actually exists here, and it gets encoded straight into a AVI media container. No artwork or motion is invented, so the resulting AVI file can carry no meaningful video stream at all. The WAVE spelling follows the RIFF/WAVE chunk model, including format extensions, fact and data chunks, channel masks, and non-audio metadata. AVI output interleaves indexed audio and video chunks in a legacy RIFF container whose subtitle, modern metadata, and variable-frame-rate behavior is limited.
Decoded media - The long-form extension for a RIFF WAVE container commonly carrying PCM or another tagged audio codec. Encoded delivery profile - An older Microsoft media container commonly paired here with Xvid video and MP3 audio.
Used for encoded audio covering music, speech, or effects.
Designed for recorded motion video with an accompanying soundtrack.
The name WAVE does not ensure uncompressed samples, and changing spelling does not change codec, precision, or size.
AVI has limited support for modern metadata, captions, variable frame rates, and some web players.
The verified AVI profile uses Xvid video and MP3 audio for compatibility with older AVI workflows.

Test seeking and audio sync in the target player, not only the opening frame.
This route only makes sense when the destination workflow explicitly wants audio wrapped in AVI - It does not generate a music visualizer or a slideshow.
