Free RMI to MOV conversion online, with the real audio-only container delivery behavior, what gets lost, and a concrete way to check the output.
The available RMI audio is encoded into the MOV media container. Converter.now does not synthesize artwork or moving pictures, so an audio-only source can produce a MOV file without a meaningful video stream. RMI wraps MIDI events in a RIFF container; the reader extracts the event stream and tempo map rather than treating the file as PCM audio. MOV delivery uses QuickTime track and sample structures suited to Apple and editing workflows, with codec, color, time-scale, chapter, and cross-platform support checked separately.
Decoded media - MIDI event data wrapped in a RIFF Resource Interchange File Format structure. Encoded delivery profile - A QuickTime container written here with H.264 video and AAC audio.
Used for music, speech, and time-based sound.
Designed for editing and Apple-oriented video workflows.
Some MIDI tools reject the RIFF wrapper, while audio rendering still depends on external instruments and sound banks.
MOV support varies outside Apple and editing software, while source captions or extra tracks may not be retained.
The verified MOV profile uses H.264 video at CRF 23 and AAC audio at 192 kbit/s.
Verify RIFF-MIDI recognition, tracks, tempo, programs, controller events, duration, and synthesized instrument mapping.
Scrub the timeline and verify frame size, frame rate, audio sync, color, and target-app playback.
Use this route only when the receiving workflow specifically accepts audio inside MOV. It is not a music-visualizer or slideshow generator.
