Converter.now decodes the waveform and channel layout carried by OPUS, then writes the codec and container profile used for FLAC. Duration can remain identical while compression, channel mapping, frame cadence, metadata, or auxiliary streams change. Opus packets are decoded with pre-skip, variable frame durations, channel mapping, gain, and granule-position timing accounted for at stream boundaries.
