Converter.now decodes the waveform and channel layout carried by OGA, then writes the codec and container profile used for M4A. Duration can remain identical while compression, channel mapping, frame cadence, metadata, or auxiliary streams change. OGA is demultiplexed into Ogg packets and identified as Vorbis, Opus, FLAC, or another audio mapping before granule timing and comments are applied. The M4A writer places coded audio in an MP4 track structure that can also carry timing metadata, tags, chapters, and cover artwork.
