Converter.now decodes the waveform and channel layout carried by M4P, then writes the codec and container profile used for FLAC. Duration can remain identical while compression, channel mapping, frame cadence, metadata, or auxiliary streams change. An M4P source is checked for Apple access controls before its audio track, sample tables, tags, artwork, and playback timing are considered convertible.
