Convert FLAC to FLV online. See the real audio-only container delivery behavior, preservation limits, and a format-specific acceptance test.
The available FLAC audio is encoded into the FLV media container. Converter.now does not synthesize artwork or moving pictures, so an audio-only source can produce a FLV file without a meaningful video stream. FLAC frames decode to lossless samples, but the stream can still carry unusual channel assignments, sample rates, cuesheets, and Vorbis-comment metadata. FLV delivery uses a retired Flash-era streaming container; even a correctly encoded file needs a dedicated player because current browsers do not restore Flash playback.
Decoded media - Losslessly compressed audio that preserves decoded samples and supports rich tags. Encoded delivery profile - The legacy Flash Video container historically used for browser streaming.
Used for lossless music archiving.
Designed for moving images, timed audio, and playback metadata.
FLAC does not make a lossy source lossless again, and some basic players reject less common sample rates or channel layouts.
Current browsers no longer provide native Flash playback, and FLV may contain older codecs with limited hardware decoding.
The writer builds the legacy Flash Video container historically used for browser streaming and labels the result as video/x-flv. The receiving application - Not the extension alone - Is the final compatibility test.
Compare duration, sample rate, channels, peak levels, and tags with the decoded source.
Inspect codecs, dimensions, frame rate, duration, audio sync, keyframe seeking, and the complete transcoded result.
Use this route only when the receiving workflow specifically accepts audio inside FLV. It is not a music-visualizer or slideshow generator.
