Convert AIFF to MOV online. See the real audio-only container delivery behavior, preservation limits, and a format-specific acceptance test.
The available AIFF audio is encoded into the MOV media container. Converter.now does not synthesize artwork or moving pictures, so an audio-only source can produce a MOV file without a meaningful video stream. The AIFF path walks FORM chunks to obtain uncompressed sample precision, extended-precision rate, channels, markers, and optional application metadata. MOV delivery uses QuickTime track and sample structures suited to Apple and editing workflows, with codec, color, time-scale, chapter, and cross-platform support checked separately.
Decoded media - Apple's chunk-based Audio Interchange File Format commonly carrying big-endian PCM samples. Encoded delivery profile - A QuickTime container written here with H.264 video and AAC audio.
Used for recorded sound meant for playback over time.
Designed for editing and Apple-oriented video workflows.
AIFF files can be large, and tags, loop points, or uncommon sample precision are not handled uniformly.
MOV support varies outside Apple and editing software, while source captions or extra tracks may not be retained.
The verified MOV profile uses H.264 video at CRF 23 and AAC audio at 192 kbit/s.
Compare sample rate, bit depth, channels, duration, peaks, tags, and loop markers in the target audio editor.
Scrub the timeline and verify frame size, frame rate, audio sync, color, and target-app playback.
This route only makes sense when the destination workflow explicitly wants audio wrapped in MOV - It does not generate a music visualizer or a slideshow.
