AIFF audio is what actually exists here, and it gets encoded straight into a AVI media container. No artwork or motion is invented, so the resulting AVI file can carry no meaningful video stream at all. The AIFF path walks FORM chunks to obtain uncompressed sample precision, extended-precision rate, channels, markers, and optional application metadata. AVI output interleaves indexed audio and video chunks in a legacy RIFF container whose subtitle, modern metadata, and variable-frame-rate behavior is limited.
Decoded from Apple's chunk-based Audio Interchange File Format commonly carrying big-endian PCM samples. Encoded to an older Microsoft media container commonly paired here with Xvid video and MP3 audio.
Used for recorded sound meant for playback over time.
Designed for recorded motion video with an accompanying soundtrack.
AIFF files can be large, and tags, loop points, or uncommon sample precision are not handled uniformly.
AVI has limited support for modern metadata, captions, variable frame rates, and some web players.
The verified AVI profile uses Xvid video and MP3 audio for compatibility with older AVI workflows.
Compare sample rate, bit depth, channels, duration, peaks, tags, and loop markers in the target audio editor.
Test seeking and audio sync in the target player, not only the opening frame.
Use this route only when the receiving workflow specifically accepts audio inside AVI. It is not a music-visualizer or slideshow generator.
